Where appropriate, ORI has provided targeted funding to upgrade orphanage buildings, grounds or utilities. Examples of this work include:

* With ORI support, the Village de la Paix orphanage in Kigali installed both running water and electricity. These basic amenities had an instant impact on the lives of the more than 70 children who live at the orphanage

* Thanks to a generous in-kind donation of computer equipment, ORI has established computer laboratories at several of its partner orphanages there. Through this initiative, ORI hopes to make it possible for students to develop the computer skills necessary to compete for jobs and to learn about the world beyond Rwanda’s borders.
