Bud & Bill

Truth is stranger than fiction according to upcoming movie Bud & Bill. It’s the story about the unlikely real-life friendship between the father of Oklahoma City Bomber Timothy Veigh and the father of one of the victims killed in the 1995 attack. Bill McVeigh and Bud Welch met during the trial of McVeigh (who was executed in June 2001) and eventually became friends. Now leftwing filmmaker Robert Greenwald (Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s War On Journalism) is hoping to tell their story in the fictionalised Bud & Bill. The film follows Bud Welch as he transforms from angry, grieving father to anti-capital punishment activist and spokesperson.
